ganti kepunyaan saling berkaitan satu sama lain, dan masing –masing mempunyai 2
bentuk yang berbeda , yakni:

NOTES :

Possesive Adjectives adalah kata sifat yang
menerangkan kepunyaan, contoh :
“ this is y book “, kata “ my “ ,
menerangkan kata benda “ book “.

beautiful “, menerangkan kata benda “ girl “, jadi kata “ my “ dan “ beautiful
“ kedua – duanya adalah sebagai kata sifat atau “ adjectives ‘.

“ this book is mine “, sebetulnya kalimat ini
berasal dari “this book is my book “.
Karena kita selalu menghindari pemakaian
kata yang sama secara berulang – ulang , maka kata “ my book “ digantikan oleh
kata “ mine ‘ atau “ pronoun “ . oleh karena mine juga menunjukkan “ kepunyaan
“ maka disebut pula sebagai : “ possesive pronoun” atau “ kata ganti
kepunyaan”.

“ This is Tom’s book “
Bentuk kepunyaan dapat juga dinyatakan dengan
menggunakan ‘s ( apostrophe = koma di atas + s ) yang diletakkan di belakang
pemili bendanya. Tetapi jika pemilik benda kebetulan sudah berakhiran “ s’ .
tetapi jika pemilik benda sudah berakhiran “ s ‘
, maka tinggal menambahkan apotrophe atau koma diatas saja .
Contoh :
